What is a dog age certificate?
A dog age certificate is a one-page document that states a dog's name, date of birth, current age and the equivalent age in human years, usually alongside a photo and a life stage such as puppy or senior. It has no legal standing; it is a keepsake for birthdays, gotcha days, memorials and social media.
People make one for the same reasons they frame a baby's first photo: to mark a moment. The most common occasions are a first birthday, an adoption anniversary, the day a dog officially becomes a senior, and the loss of a dog. The human-years figure is what makes the certificate more than a birthday card. A memorial certificate for a dog who has passed
The Memorial template creates a gentle tribute in soft gray and blue for a dog who has died. It records the dog's name, dates, the age reached in dog and human years, and their photo, and it drops the playful comparisons. Many owners frame it, tuck it into a memory box or share it on the anniversary.
Losing a dog is hard, and a certificate is a small thing.
